HOLA, TENGO UN PROBLEMA, INSTALE EL MSN 7.5 EN WINDOWS XP Y ME LARGA UN ERROR CON ESTE CODIGO x80048820 ALGUIEN ME PUEDE DECIR QUE SIGNIFICA, ES RARO, PORQUE EN OTRA MAQUINA TB CON XP TENGO INSTALADO EL MSN 7.5 Y ANDA PERFECTO, Y EN ESTA MAQUINA NO!!! AYUDA PLZZZ, ALGUIEN QUE ME DIGA QUE SIGNIFICA EL CODIGO Y PORQUE ESTO , Y PORQUE TODO EL MUNDO USA MSN SI CADA 2 X 3 NO ANDA

Maxis aunque parezca una tonteria, comprueba la fecha y hora del sistema, sera incorrecta, creeme tenia el mismo codigo y segun el mensaje de error no tiene nada k ver con lo de la fecha pero ponla bien e inicia sesion

Que razón tenias. Con solo corregir la fecha del sistema se puede iniciar sesion cuando marca el error 80048820. Revisen bien su fecha del sisetma, en mi caso lo que estaba mal era el año nada mas.

Como ya te han mencionado intenta hacer lo siguiente:
1. Ajusta la fecha y el reloj de windows a tus datos actuales, y prueba a iniciar sesion.
2. Si el problema sigue, vas al menu inicio/ejecutar y pones
regsvr32 softpub.dll y aceptas.
Haces sucesivamente lo mismo con:
regsvr32 wintrust.dll
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
regsvr32 initpki.dll
3. Reinicia tu PC
Si cuando llegues sigue sin irte prueba esto otro:
Abre el internet explorer, ve a herramientas/opciones de internet/conexiones/configuracion de Lan, y activa la opcion Detectar configuracion automaticamente.
En el messenger ve a herramientas/opciones/conexion/configuracion avanzada y activa sólo la casilla TCP.

Error 80048820 is a common one with MSN Messenger 7.5, here are some known ways to solve it so far.

Symptoms

When you start MSN Messenger, you are unable to sign in, the following message is displayed after the sign in process is interrupted.

"Sorry, we were unable to sign you in to the MSN Messenger at this time. Please try again later.

To let us try and troubleshoot the problem, click the Troubleshoot button."

Causes

* The system clock may be set incorrectly.
* The Dynamic Link Library (DLL) softpub.dll, may not be registered on the system.
* Internet Explorer may be using an invalid proxy server.

Resolutions

* Double click on the clock in the taskbar and make sure the system clock is set correctly.
* Register softpub.dll using the regsvr32.exe tool.

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 softpub.dll and then click OK.
Restart MSN Messenger.



* Remove any Internet Explorer proxy server settings

In Internet Explorer, click Tools and then click Internet Options.
In the Internet Options dialog box, go to the Connections tab.
Click LAN Settings...
Untick the Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections) checkbox.
Click OK and OK again Internet Options.

Mas o menos, una traduccion puede decir:

He hecho todo lo que se dice aqui para solucionar el problema de que no quiere entrar en el messenger y no ha dado resultado, por favor que mas puedo hacer?
